A Primer on the Inventor Klaus Holtz
Klaus Holtz, the founder and
president of Autosophy (formerly known as Omni Dimensional Networks) has a
German engineering degree and more than 25 years experience in communications
and computer design. In 1974 he formulated a new mathematical
theory of “learning”, which eventually evolved into the new Autosophy
Information Theory. This is claimed to be the theoretical foundation of all
modern lossless data compression methods. He holds the original Patent
4,366,551 for tree network data compression, which is being widely implemented,
including in the V.42bis compression standard in modems, and the gif and tif
format in lossless still image compression. He has published more than 50
papers dealing with: data compression, image compression, information theory,
and how to replace the programmed data processing computer with brain-like
self-learning autosopher.
The History of Autosophy provides a detailed list of important dates and events. This list will be expanded up to the present time soon.
