From Information Entities to conscious Robots
Spiritual information entities
may run our world similar to the old ideas of “Gods” and “Souls”. Instead of
praying to these entities we may use the new understanding and principles to
build conscious robots.

Since ancient times human beings have believed in Gods and spirits to explain the world around them. These Gods and spirits demanded obedience, sacrifice and the building of large monuments. This eventually evolved into organized religions sending out armies to fight and kill to determine which God is mightiest. Then came the age of reason and enlightenment, like Newton and Darwin, which entirely denied the existence of “Spiritual Entities”. Scientific truth was supposed to be only that which can be “quantified” and measured using “Mathematical Physics”. Gods were replaced by “Equations”, like Einstein’s, relativity or Shannon’s Information Theory, which are supposed to run the universe. Modern scientific research is imagined as scientists manipulating complex equations on a blackboard to discover new mathematical truth and technological applications. Believing that the universe has to obey mathematical equations is just as silly as believing in imaginary all-knowing Gods. Without realizing it we have slid back into the dark ages from one extreme to another. As it turns out, there are indeed “Spiritual Entities” all around us in nature, in our brains, and in books, that determine what and why we do what we do. Instead of praying and building monuments a new “Autosophy Information Theory” will allow us to greatly improve communications and to replace the “Programmed Data Processing Computer” with brain-like, self-learning, “Autosopher” that no longer need programming. This may open the way to “Machine Consciousness” and true “Artificial Intelligence” in self-organizing and failure proof archives such as the worldwide Internet.
